I draw storyboards and comics to help people design better services. I am the author of The Picture In Design. A book which tries to establish a picture theory specific to the graphic design context. The book seeks to redress the bias towards typography in graphic design theory, and give to illustrators, art directors and designers the words to defend their pictorial design decisions. I have run illustration workshops in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, China, New Zealand and Australia. I am currently lecturing at ECU in Perth while continuing my illustration practice and art direction for the Hidden Shoal Recordings music label.
