Dave oversees Truly Deeply as they work with a broad range of public and private organisations on brand, identity and communication related projects. With a design background, Dave combines more than 25 years of knowledge and expertise in leading branding programs across a wide range of market sectors with an interest in business and entrepreneurialism. Having launched ten start-up businesses in the last ten years, Dave’s passion is for creating businesses as much as the brands that represent them.
Chris is an award winning designer and creative thinker who brings over 13 years experience working with innovative organisations – both large and small – within the education, government, automotive and finance industries to create compelling brand experiences. He is passionate about developing ideas that are simple and connect with people in a meaningful way. Ideas that have the power to change someone’s world even if just for a moment in time.He has lectured in Communication Design at RMIT and is currently the Chair of RMIT's Program Advisory Committee for Communication Design. He is a former AGDA Councillor and Vice Chair (VIC).
Michelle Jeavons is a co-founder of Tank and has worn many hats over Tank’s 20 year life. Starting out as the Creative Director for the first 10 years, then moving into Studio Management, Production Management and currently in the General Manager role.
Tank is a strategic design firm based in Melbourne. An accredited B Corp, they understand that in the future, purpose-driven business will have a greater impact than anyone else in solving society's biggest challenges. They work with businesses nationally who are driven to create positive social impact.
Mirella is the founder and creative director at Vertigo, a graphic design studio based in Melbourne. With over 12 years’ experience in branding and design across Australia and Canada, she has worked with clients including ANZ, Audi, Hieroglyphics Records, Microsoft, Moreland City Council, Sea Shepherd Australia, The Sydney Morning Herald, Volvo, and many small businesses and organisations. A strong advocate for gender equality in design, Mirella has worked with Creative Women’s Circle as a design writer and brand specialist, and is a contributor to Women of Graphic Design, a project examining the work and contributions of female designers around the world.
Matt McKey is a graphic designer and illustrator living and working in Melbourne. He is the graphic design manager at Asahi Premium beverages and works with a breadth of brands such as Super Dry, Woodstock, Vodka Cruiser, Somersby Cider, Cricketers Arms, just to name a few. His career at Asahi spans 8 years and throughout that time he has seen the company evolve and develop their stable of brands. Matt’s area of expertise is packaging and promotion, collaborating closely with marketing and communication partners to take products from conception through to execution in market.
Kat is the Head of Design at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), managing design strategy and visual branding across the organization and running the in-house design studio.
Kat leads a team of multidisciplinary designers to produce design, marketing and installation content across ACMI’s exhibitions, films, education, talks and live events programs as well as managing branding across international exhibition touring.
Previously, Kat has worked in advertising with TBWA and online media with Razorfish and ninemsn. She also has a freelance practice, working across a variety of innovative commissioned and self-commissioned projects including film titles, video clips, VJing, live video performance, multimedia installations, most recently producing projection mapped animation for White Night Melbourne 2017.
BRIAN RODRIGO LLAGAS
Brian is a Senior Designer at The Edison Agency in Melbourne. He loves all things brand, packaging and form and has spent much of his international career specialising in structural form and identity for leading agencies in Asia. Brian’s strategic approach to the process and outcomes of design has led him to work on iconic global brand campaigns for Coca-Cola, Nestle, Suntory, Mondelez and Philip Morris. His exposure working with multicultural teams ignited his interest in how semiotics and cultural cues influence design.
He is currently working on his Master of Design Futures at RMIT and looking at ways of how design thinking can help improve strategic outcomes in design businesses.
Jacob is Design Director at Today, a design company for people and planet focused on creating positive social and environmental impact through strategic design. With a focus on digital, interaction design and illustration he works with leading businesses, public service, education and not-for-profit organisations to design and deliver award-winning projects. Alongside his core specialities, Jacob leads the gamut of branding, creative strategy and motion design at Today.
