The Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) in Sydney has been an AGDA Silver Partner for many years. Over this time, we’re proud to have built a strong relationship by running multiple events on-site at the Powerhouse Museum, including a number of international speakers, local events, and our involvement in the Sydney Design Festival.

Today we have some more exciting news. AGDA has been accepted into the Powerhouse NSW Creative Industries Residency Program for 2021! The program provides AGDA with an office space at the Powerhouse Museum in Ultimo from March and the opportunity to collaborate with the Museum team during our 12-month residency.

This is such exciting news for AGDA. And it could not have been possible without the amazing work of all AGDA team members past and present who have all contributed to building our strong relationship with MAAS. You can read more about the announcement and our new Neighbours here:

I’d love to explicitly acknowledge some of our team whose support of MAAS over the years has helped make this happen. In alphabetical order,

Anita Lyons
Anne Louise Dadak
Brent Rice
Gareth Procter
Graham Barton
Jason Little
Linda Jukic
Mike Tosetto
Steve Robbins

And of course, Sophie Harrington, Public Programs Manager at MAAS!

AGDA is a national organisation – and we’ll continue to be a multi-state team, with Steve Robbins leading Comms and Membership from Adelaide, Anita Lyons managing partnerships and events from Sydney, myself as President based in Sydney; and regional councils across SA, WA, VIC, QLD, TAS, and NSW continuing to support members through local events and initiatives. We’ll have access to our office in the Powerhouse in late-March. And from then… we’d love you to visit us!

Best wishes,
